Product Overview

Ceylon black tea is grown across all seven tea-growing regions of Sri Lanka, according to the Export Development Board. The Board lists Dust and Dust 1 as the dust grades of orthodox Ceylon black tea. The Sri Lanka Tea Board explains that tea is graded by leaf size with a mechanical sifter, and that the smallest grades of all are known as dust. The Tea Board describes Dust 1 as the smallest of particles. They infuse swiftly and give strength, colour and body in the cup. The Tea Board says the grade is most suited to commercial brewing. It also notes that particle size has no bearing on quality in itself, only on the colour and strength of the brew. Typical uses are catering, quick-infusing packs and repacking. This tea is listed as available on request, as a standard export product of Sri Lanka. Packaging is available on request. Send the grade, quantity, packing and destination port by email from the Contact page or the How to order page. Documents and test reports can be discussed for each order.
