Product Overview

Ceylon black tea is grown across all seven tea-growing regions of Sri Lanka, according to the Export Development Board. Most of it is made by the orthodox method. The Sri Lanka Tea Board explains that the finished tea is graded by leaf size: leaf grades hold the largest pieces and broken grades are successively smaller. BOP stands for Broken Orange Pekoe. The Tea Board calls it a popular leaf size and the main broken grade. Because the pieces are smaller, it infuses faster than whole leaf tea. The Tea Board describes the liquor as a balance between taste and strength. Typical uses are loose tea in packets, repacking and blending. This tea is listed as available on request, as a standard export product of Sri Lanka. Packaging is available on request. Send the grade, quantity, packing and destination port by email from the Contact page or the How to order page. Documents and test reports can be discussed for each order.
