About Spring Water from Sri Lanka
Spring water is groundwater that is collected at a natural spring and bottled for drinking. It is usually traded still or sparkling, in plastic or glass bottles of several sizes, packed in cases or cartons and loaded on pallets. In Sri Lanka, bottled water manufacturing facilities are registered by the Food Control Administration Unit of the Ministry of Health under the Food Act No. 26 of 1980. The Ministry lists spring, tube well and dug well as the water sources covered by this registration.
The Ministry states that registration is not granted unless the source water meets the national standard that it names. These are national rules for producers. They are given here as background.
The single listing in this category is bottled natural mineral water, which is water from underground sources such as springs, bottled close to the source in sealed containers. Natural spring water is not listed as a separate product, although the category is named Spring Water. The listing is shown as available on request. It describes a standard Sri Lankan beverage product from official sources and is not a statement of stock, source or brand. A quotation follows your enquiry.
To enquire, email us from the Contact page or the How to order page. State still or sparkling, the bottle material and size, the case and pallet configuration, your own label or an existing brand, the quantity for each shipment, the destination port and the documents you need. Bottled water is regulated as a food in most markets, so also list the water analysis reports and registrations that your import authority requires.
