About Coconut & Coconut Based Products from Sri Lanka
This category covers products made from the coconut palm, Cocos nucifera. The coconut items listed online at present are two edible oils, virgin coconut oil and white coconut oil, and two coconut shell charcoal products, shisha (hookah) cubes and BBQ briquettes.
The oils are listed in glass jars, PET bottles, HDPE cans, pouches, pails, bag-in-box, steel drums, IBC tanks and flexitanks, so they suit both retail and bulk buyers. The charcoal products are listed in packs from 250 g up to 20 kg bulk bags, with master cartons and custom retail boxes. Private label packing is listed on all four. Ask for the order terms of each product with your quotation.
Food manufacturers, bakeries, retailers and personal care formulators buy the oils. Shisha lounge suppliers, hookah accessory distributors, barbecue fuel importers and retail chains buy the charcoal. For oils, ask for a specification sheet or test report. For charcoal, ask for the specification sheet (ash content, moisture, burn time). The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) groups coconut exports into kernel, water, fibre, shell, sap and coco peat products, and notes that coconut shell is a primary source of activated carbon and coconut shell charcoal.
To request a quote, email us from the Contact page or the How to order page and state the product, the quantity, the pack size, the destination port and any documents you need.

What is virgin coconut oil?
Virgin coconut oil is obtained from fresh coconut kernel without refining, bleaching or deodorising. Trade definitions of other coconut oils vary between countries, so ask for the specification sheet with your quote.
What should a charcoal specification sheet show?
Ask for ash content, moisture, fixed carbon, burn time and the size and shape of the cube or briquette. Request the sheet together with your quote.
Does charcoal need special paperwork for sea freight?
Charcoal can be treated as a self-heating cargo, and shipping lines often ask for a test report before they accept it. Raise this in your quote request so the documents can be discussed.
How do I ask for coconut oil in bulk?
Use the How to order page and state the oil, the container type (drums, IBC or flexitank), the quantity, the destination port and the documents you need.
