About Ceramics & Porcelain Products from Sri Lanka

The Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) describes the country's ceramic and porcelain sector as covering porcelain tableware and kitchenware, wall and floor tiles, clay roof tiles, bathware and ornamental ware. It notes that manufacturers supply both self-branded and private label products to global brands, homeware stores and department stores, and that some work across earthenware, stoneware, terracotta and porcelain bodies.

EDB names quartz, feldspar, dolomite and China clay as raw materials used by the industry. Its craft sector report of March 2012 also records terracotta pots and vases as a craft product, associated with Mawanella in Kegalle District, and lists ceramic statuettes and ornaments among the craft export sub-sectors.

The items listed in this category are porcelain tableware, ceramic figurines and ornamental ware, ceramic wall and floor tiles, and terracotta pots and vases. Bathware and clay roof tiles are not listed. All four items are listed as available on request. They are standard Sri Lankan export products described from official sources, and a listing is not a statement of stock or of the brand of any item. A quotation follows your enquiry.

To enquire, email us from the Contact page or the How to order page. State the item, the body (porcelain, stoneware, earthenware or terracotta), the shapes and sizes, the decoration or artwork, the quantity, the packing, the destination port and any documents you need. For tableware, also list the food contact test reports that your market requires, since rules for ceramic articles in contact with food differ between countries.
