Sri Lanka has two monsoon seasons, so its export crops are harvested at different times of the year. Use this calendar to plan your orders around the harvest and peak months of each crop. Harvest months are indicative and vary with the weather.

Procurement Tip: Yala Season
From May to August the south-west monsoon brings heavy rain to the Galle and Matara districts. This can affect the sun-drying of cinnamon. If you need cinnamon in these months, send your enquiry early so that availability can be confirmed.
Procurement Tip: Peak Months
For spices such as pepper and cardamom, the peak harvest months are marked in gold in the calendar above. Ask the export team which months suit the grade and quantity you need.
