Cloves

Price on request: prices depend on grade, quantity, packaging and destination.

Whole cloves, the dried flower buds of Syzygium aromaticum, supplied from Sri Lanka. Listed in retail pouches and jars and in 5 kg to 25 kg bulk bags for spice importers, packers and food manufacturers.

Product Overview

Cloves are the dried, unopened flower buds of Syzygium aromaticum, an evergreen tree of the myrtle family. In Sri Lanka the spice is called karabu nati. The buds are picked before they open and dried until they turn dark brown, with a paler, rounded head on a short stem. The existing listing describes whole, intact buds, and the origin is listed as Sri Lanka. No grade is entered in the record, so state the grade or specification you need. Spice importers, grinders and packers, seasoning blenders, food manufacturers, clove oil distillers and retailers buy whole cloves. The packaging list covers 30 g to 1 kg stand-up pouches, glass jars, PET bottles, multi-wall paper bags, 5 kg to 25 kg bulk HDPE bags, vacuum packs, jute sacks and corrugated cartons. Private label packing is listed as available. Ask for moisture and volatile oil figures on a specification sheet if you need them. Quotes can be given FOB or CIF from Colombo, and you can ask for the order terms with your quotation. Tell us which export documents your customs authority requires. To request a quote, email us from the Contact page or the How to order page and state the quantity, pack size, destination port and any documents you need.
