Product Overview

Ribbed Smoked Sheet rubber, known as RSS, is one of the main types of raw rubber produced and exported from Sri Lanka, according to the Export Development Board. The board says it is produced by small and medium scale rubber growers across the rubber growing districts. The sheets are made directly from natural rubber latex, which is treated and made to coagulate. The latex is formed into sheets with a simple machine and then air dried or smoked in ovens. Exporters grade the collected sheets by eye and pack them in bales. The board says global demand for RSS is driven mainly by the tyre industry. RSS rubber is listed here as available on request, and packaging is available on request. Send the RSS grade you buy, quantity, packing and destination port by email from the Contact page or the How to order page. Documents and test reports can be discussed for each order.
