Mountain Knotgrass Leaves (Dehydrated)

Price on request: prices depend on grade, quantity, packaging and destination.

Dried leaves of mountain knotgrass (Aerva lanata), known in Sri Lanka as polpala and traditionally prepared as a herbal drink. Supplied loose or in tea bags for herbal tea packers and importers.

Product Overview

Mountain Knotgrass Leaves (Dehydrated) are the dried leaves of Aerva lanata, a small herb known in Sri Lanka as polpala. No ingredient list is entered, so the product is understood to be the dried plant material alone. Polpala is traditionally prepared as a herbal drink in Sri Lanka by boiling or steeping the dried herb in water. Herbal tea packers, importers of Sri Lankan groceries, distributors of South Asian foods and retailers buy dried polpala loose or in tea bags. The packaging list covers 20 g to 100 g stand-up pouches, vacuum-sealed bags, foil-lined sachets, bulk HDPE bags, kraft paper bags, cardboard canisters and individual tea bag envelopes. Private label packing is listed as available. Ask whether the lot is leaf only or includes stems and flower heads, and the cut size. Quotes can be given FOB or CIF from Colombo, and you can ask for the order terms with your quotation. Tell us which export documents your customs authority requires. To request a quote, email us from the Contact page or the How to order page and state the quantity, pack size, destination port and any documents you need.
