Dehydrated moringa string hoppers from Sri Lanka: dried nests of rice-flour noodles made with moringa leaf powder. Shelf-stable packs for ethnic grocery importers, retailers and food service buyers.

Ingredients

white rice flour , Moringa leaves Powder, salt

Product Overview

String hoppers, also called idiyappam, are thin rice-flour noodles pressed into small flat nests and steamed. This version is dehydrated so that it can be stored and shipped at room temperature. The listed ingredients are white rice flour, moringa leaves powder and salt. The moringa leaf powder gives the noodles a green colour and a mild leafy taste. The origin is listed as Sri Lanka. Before serving, dried string hoppers are softened again, usually by soaking or steaming; ask for the preparation instructions. They are served with curries, sambols and coconut milk gravies. Importers and ethnic grocery retailers stock them for Sri Lankan and South Indian customers, and restaurants and caterers use them as a ready base that stores without refrigeration. The packaging list covers vacuum-sealed pouches, moisture-proof polybags, reusable stand-up pouches, paper packaging, retail cardboard boxes and bulk export cartons. Private label packing is listed as available. Ask for the order terms with your quotation. FOB and CIF quotes are given from Colombo. Tell us which export documents your customs authority requires.
