Product Overview

The Export Development Board lists bottled water among the beverage products of Sri Lanka. It says Sri Lankan suppliers offer bottled mineral water to the local hospitality industry and to tourist destinations in the Asian region, and that the spring waters come from the central hills. Sri Lanka's Food (Bottled or Packaged Water) Regulations 2005 define natural mineral water as water that originates from an underground water bearing strata and is extracted from natural or drilled sources such as springs, wells or boreholes. Under those rules it is bottled close to the point where the source emerges, is not moved in bulk containers for packing, and is packed in hermetically sealed food grade retail containers. The label carries the common name Natural Mineral Water. Bottled natural mineral water is listed here as available on request, and packaging is available on request. Send the bottle size, pack format and volume, quantity, packing and destination port by email from the Contact page or the How to order page. Documents and test reports can be discussed for each order.
