Treated Rubberwood Furniture

Wooden furniture is described by the Export Development Board (EDB) as a large sub sector of the wood-based industry in Sri Lanka. EDB says furniture makers have adopted treated rubberwood, which reuses rubber trees that are no longer useful for latex production. It calls treated rubber wood a main source of raw material for the industry and a renewable resource. The grade here is treated rubberwood, and EDB also reports exports of laminated rubber wood furniture. Household pieces cover the bedroom, living room, kitchen and garden. Other forms are office furniture, such as computer tables and office tables, and furniture for hotels, schools and hospitals. EDB notes that knockdown and built-in furniture is customised to buyer specifications. This furniture is listed as available on request, as a standard export product of Sri Lanka. Packaging is available on request. Send the item list, dimensions and finish, quantity, packing and destination port by email from the Contact page or the How to order page. Documents and test reports can be discussed for each order.
